The project covers the detailed design and construction of the railway doubling between Interporto d’Abruzzo and Scafa, for a total length of approximately 13 km, divided into two functional sections: Lot 1 Interporto d’Abruzzo-Manoppello and Lot 2 Manoppello-Scafa.

The new alignment runs partly alongside the existing railway line and partly on a new route, with the aim of increasing capacity and operational reliability along the Rome-Pescara railway corridor, improving service efficiency and frequency.

The project includes civil, infrastructure and technological works aimed at upgrading the railway line and the surrounding areas. The main activities include railway embankments, hydraulic works and underpasses, road upgrades, railway systems and environmental and noise mitigation measures.

Salcef is responsible for track works and railway systems installation along the section affected by the line doubling.
