Bucharest Metro Line M6 runs through the northern part of the city and will connect 1 Mai station, an interchange with Metro Line M4, with Henri Coandă International Airport (Otopeni).

The new infrastructure extends for approximately 14 km of double-track metro line, crossing Sector 1 of Bucharest and reaching the city of Otopeni.

The project includes the construction of 12 metro stations, including the airport terminal station, as well as the related interstation sections and service tracks required for operational and shunting activities. The infrastructure also includes 14 railway turnouts and several service tracks distributed along the line.

The new line represents a strategic investment for mobility in the Bucharest metropolitan area, improving the direct connection between the city centre and the country’s main international airport.
