Salcef acquires the Vianini Industria company

Salcef has taken over an important sleeper production plant in Italy, expanding its production capacity and offering increasingly integrated and complete services.
On 27 September, Salcef acquired the entire share capital of Vianini Industria S.r.l. with a payment and enterprise value of about 8.7 million euro.
The company owns an industrial complex with a production plant for railway sleepers and other concrete products, such as slabs for urban transport systems and precast concrete tunnel segments.

Since the 1960s, Vianini Industria has produced more than 13 million sleepers and has manufactured products for many infrastructure projects in Italy, becoming one of the main suppliers of the Italian State Railways Group.
The acquisition of Vianini is motivated by Salcef’s desire to boost its production capacity and expand its offer. The Salcef Group operates in several railway industry sectors in Italy and abroad, and has long-standing experience in sleeper production, carried out at its Cairo plant from 2012 to 2016.
The goal of this acquisition is therefore to implement a synergy between the production and installation of track components, to meet the needs of clients and to offer increasingly integrated and complete services to the international market.
