Salcef for safety on work sites

The last session of the ‘Safe Work Sites’ project, a Salcef Group initiative that focuses on safety at work for everyone, has come to an end.
9 events, over 200 participants and more than 1,000 hours of training provided: these are the figures of the “Cantiere sicuro” (Safe Work Sites) project, an initiative launched in 2021 to promote correct operating procedures at railway construction sites.
This initiative confirms that safety is a fundamental element of all Salcef Group activities and all the main accident figures improved in 2021, as can be seen in the latest Sustainability Report.
The training sessions covered a wide range of subjects, like correct operational management of temporary and mobile construction sites, with a focus on quality, safety and the environment, site emergencies, the importance of near misses and correct reporting, analysis of accidents that occurred, and audits as an opportunity for development.
The project involved project managers, safety managers, site managers and supervisors from Salcef’s main Business Units: Track Works, Energy and Heavy Civil Works.
Main operational lines, operational directors and heads of the main corporate departments also took part in the initiative, a sign of management’s strong commitment to a vital topic like safety.
The Salcef Group will continue to invest in initiatives to reinforce a culture of safety based on awareness, prevention, monitoring and sharing.
