Salcef signs a contract in Norway

Salcef reaches a new milestone, becoming one of the first Italian companies in the railway sector to operate in Norway.

Last June, Salcef signed a subcontracting agreement with the Norwegian public company BaneService AS for the ballast screening of two historic lines that are considered infrastructures of strategic importance.
The Østfold Line is located in the southeast of the country and connects the capital Oslo with Sweden.
The Ofoten Line is located in the north and runs from the Port of Narvik to Riksgränsen on the Norway-Sweden border. It is part of the Northern East-West Freight Corridor, used to transport containers from China and India to North America.
The project involves the supply of highly specialised railway machinery and skilled workers for ballast screening on approximately 150 km of track.
As a result of this partnership, Salcef enters the Norwegian market as the first Italian company in the railway sector to operate in the Scandinavian country.
