High-speed for Southern Italy

As part of a joint venture, Salcef has won the tender to build an important section of Southern Italy´s first high-speed line.
The project is to design and build a section of the Naples-Bari high-speed line, for a value of approximately 230 million euros. The route covers about 30 km, 5,721 m of which is through tunnels, and involves demolishing 16 km of track on the pre-existing line.
This work is part of a larger project to build the first high-speed line that will link two of the most important cities in Southern Italy, significantly reducing journey times and offering greater environmental protection. This strategic infrastructure will become part of the European TEN-T Scandinavian-Mediterranean railway corridor.
The Salcef Group boasts a great deal of experience, having built over 340 km of the Italian high-speed network, and will personally construct the track, electrification and signalling systems, as well as designing and building electromechanical technology systems.
