Project Description
The project involved the construction of the longest line of Saudi Arabia’s metro network.
The main line develops on a viaduct for 25.4 km, in addition to a tunnel section (8.6 km) and an at-grade section (7.1 km).
The Salcef Group was responsible for the detailed design and construction of the 82.2 km of ballastless track that make up the main line, in addition to 9.2 km in the depots.
Scope of Work
- Detailed design of mainline track and the east and west depots
- Procurement of track materials as rails, fastenings, turnouts, casting concrete and buffer stops
- Construction of 82.2 km of ballastless track on the main line and 9.1 km of ballastless track in the depot
- Installation of 62 turnouts
