The project is part of a framework agreement with Compania Națională de Căi Ferate CFR S.A., the Romanian national railway company, aimed at the planned renewal of the railway track superstructure through the systematic replacement of track components.

The activities are carried out within the CFR Regional Directorate of Cluj (Lot 4), for which the framework agreement includes variable quantities of works covering up to approximately 128 km of railway track renewal.

The project concerns the Cluj Napoca – Oradea – Episcopia Bihor railway line, a strategic corridor connecting western Romania with the Hungarian border.

The Aleșd – Hungarian border section, included in Lot 4, has a total length of approximately 47 km and includes five stations and four stops.

The works are part of a wider programme for the electrification and modernisation of the railway line, aimed at improving infrastructure performance, increasing transport capacity and enabling operating speeds between 120 and 160 km/h, also through the implementation of advanced railway signalling and safety systems.
