FAST System – Beyond Ballastless Track

The subsidiary Overail has developed and patented the FAST system, an innovative ballastless track solution built to the highest quality and functional standards. The system can be installed for both new construction and renewal projects and guarantees best-in-class productivity, also thanks to a fully automated installation system. In case of renewal projects, it can be installed during usual night-time track possession, minimizing the negative impact on traffic..

Slab production takes place at a specific plant with a concrete vibration system at fixed positions, and a steam curing system.

The system has already been successfully installed by the Salcef Group in both railway and metro projects, such as Rome Termini station and Rome’s Metro Line A.
