The project concerns the Cosenza–Catanzaro Lido narrow-gauge railway line, which runs through Calabria, connecting the two provincial capitals and several inland towns.

The intervention includes alignment optimization, renewal and rehabilitation of approximately 70 km of track, as well as station modernization works along the line.

The objective is to improve safety, reliability and passenger comfort, enhancing a strategic regional rail link and supporting sustainable mobility.

Track works have been awarded to Francesco Ventura Costruzioni Ferroviarie (FVCF), a Salcef Group company with consolidated experience in narrow-gauge railway lines.
